Will my fabric be continuous yardage?

All fabric is sent in continuous yardage.  When you place your order, you will be notified by email if any item is not available in the full quantity requested.  We will provide you a back order with an estimated ship date if it is a fabric that can be reordered.

 **Please make sure to provide a valid email address on your order as you will be notified by email if anything is on back order.  Please add us to your address book so our emails do not end up in your spam folder.

How is our fabric cut?

Well, we don't cut our backings.  We tear our backings.  The reason for this is we want to have the ends on the straight of grain and the only way to do that is to tear the fabric.  This will allow you or your longarmmer to have a square back which will prevent puckers and folds during the quilting process.  Due to the way that fabric is processed - especially backings - it is rare to have the fabric folded on the bolt accurately and square.  This could result in the a cut edge being several inches out of square resulting in a wonky (a technical term here) back.

What if a fabric is listed as out of stock on the website?

While we try to keep everything on our website in stock, it is impossible for us to predict demand and/or manufacturing delivery. We do our best to keep the delivery/availability times updated on each product. 

What if there is a problem with my order?

If we've made a mistake or there is a problem with your order, please call or email us as soon as possible and we will do whatever is necessary to make it right for you!

How can I tell if the backing will work with my quilt?

We offer a free swatch program for domestic customers

FREE Swatch Instructions & Policies

Up to 10 wide quilt backing sample swatches per month per household are FREE for US customers only.  Swatches are approximately 3" x 3" but can vary.  This service is offered to our customers so that you may have the opportunity to see, touch and feel the wide quilt backings you are interested in purchasing. Sample swatches are usually mailed within 5 business days. 

To help us continue this as a FREE service, we ask that you please limit your wide quilt backing swatch request to 10 swatches total per household per 30 day rolling period and 40 swatches over a one year rolling period without placing an order.  We are a small, family run business and appreciate your understanding in helping us keep our costs down.  Let us know if you have any questions.  You can send Steve an email at or give us a call at 574-318-0456.  We love hearing your feedback!

If we feel that this free service is being abused by anyone at anytime, Wietstock Home Designs reserves the right to cancel your free swatch order.  We apologize for any inconvenience. 

Ordering Instructions:
You can order wide quilt backing sample swatches directly on the fabric page! 
Here's how:
1.  Go to any wide quilt backing you are interested in and click on the "Choose Options" button to view the product details 
2.  Choose "0" yards
3.  Click on the appropriate circle  next to where it says "Free Sample Swatch - US Only"
4.  Click on "Add To Cart


How will my order be shipped?

We ship all orders via USPS or FedEx Ground and usually ship within two business days, unless we are having a special sale.  If you are in a hurry to receive your order, please add a note in the comments section during checkout or give us a call or send an email.

When will my order be shipped?

Order Processing time is usually 1 - 2 business days.

Delivery time starts when your order is shipped and does not include order processing time.  All orders shipping within the United States will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail (2 -3 day delivery), USPS Standard Post (3 - 7 day delivery), FedEx Ground (1-7 day delivery) or USPS Express Mail (1 - 2 day delivery) depending on which option you choose during the checkout process.   If you need guaranteed overnight delivery, we can ship via FedEx; please call or email us for a quote.  


What is your return policy?

We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee! If you are not completely satisfied, you may return your purchase within 30 days of receipt if it is in new, unused, unwashed condition. We will issue full credit for products only (does not include shipping charges).

If you need to return an item, simply send us an email or give us a call and we'll take care of it for you.  We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

If you are unsure of the color of the fabric you are ordering, please request a free sample so that you can avoid having to return your purchase.
